Sindicatum
Remote monitoring and certified emission reports for carbon projects in Asia
We gathered and processed data from Sindicatum's Clean Development Mechanism projects, producing the monthly reports submitted to the UNFCCC for certification.
The client
Global sustainable resources company Sindicatum developed and operated methane drainage plants on landfill and coal mine sites in Asia under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). The captured methane fuelled gas generators: site owners earned revenue from the power, and Sindicatum earned tradeable carbon credits (emission reductions).
What we built
A custom solution giving Sindicatum remote visibility of plant operation and alarms, secure data archiving, live graphing and performance statistics. Most importantly, it produced the formal monthly emission-reduction reports submitted to the UNFCCC for certification.
The result
Our server-based Report Generator produced the monthly reports in a fraction of the time the Excel process took, removed human error and compatibility issues, and delivered clear, colour-coded output that sped up auditing by the UNFCCC.
